U001. Booking on your first event (Video)

The following short video shows how to book onto your first event. Play the video and press 'f' on your keyboard to view 'Full Screen'.
 

U002. How do I log into the site?

Log into the site from the 'Login' form on the relevant Sub Regional Booking site using the login details you setup up when registering for an event for the first time.

IMPORTANT: You DO NOT need to enter a 'Secret Key' when logging in. 

Note: You will only have a login account if you have registered for an event on the site. 

The Portal CPD system follows TSC's sub regional structure. The following map illustrates each sub region.

U003. I can't login or have a problem booking.

If you are having a problem logging in to register/book on an event, please check the following:
 

1. You have an account (IMPORTANT: you will not have an account unless you have first booked on an event, the system creates an account for you then). You will recieve an email confirming this (check your SPAM/JUNK mail folders if you do not).
 

2. You are logging into the correct booking site. The Portal CPD system follows TSC's sub regional structure. The following map illustrates each sub region.

3. You are using the Username you setup when you first started using the system (this can be recovered by clicking the 'Forgot your Username link under the 'Login' form). You will recieve an email (check your SPAM/JUNK mail folders if you do not).


4.  You are entering the correct password, please check CAPS LOCK is not enabled on your device. (you can recover/reset your password by clicking the 'Forgot your Password link under the 'Login' form). You will recieve an email  (check your SPAM/JUNK mail folders if you do not).
 

5. You are attempting to enter a 'Secret Key'. IMPORTANT: You DO NOT need to enter a 'Secret Key' when logging in. 

6. On occasion some users enter their email address in the Username field, please ensure you are entering your Username


7.  Should you continue to experience an issue logging in, please contact us via the contact form.

 

U004. I’ve forgotten my username/password for the site, how do I reset it?

You can recover your Username or Password by clicking the relevant links in the 'Login' form on the booking site. 

If you do not receive a username/password reset email. Please check your SPAM / JUNK / CLUTTER  folder in your email. 

Should you continue to experience an issue logging in, please contact us via the contact form.

 

U005. I haven’t received an email confirming my event booking? (T2)

Please check your SPAM / JUNK / CLUTTER  folder in your email. 

You may wish to check the email address you used to book an event (if this is incorrect or spelt incorrectly you will not receive a booking confirmation email). 

You can update your email address by logging into the site, viewing your booking history and updating your email address via 'My CPD' > 'Edit my Profile'

After checking this, please contact the event provider if you have still not for some reason been sent a booking confirmation. 

U006. How do I edit my booking? (T2)

Log into the site. Your booking history will be displayed.

Click on the event you would like to edit your booking for. Edit your booking and click 'Save' 

Your booking will be updated.

U007. How do I cancel my booking? (T2)

Log into the site, your booking history will display under the 'My CPD' menu, click the 'Cancel' button

(Note: Each event will have a cancellation deadline, after this date you will not be able to cancel your booking event from your booking history you will need to contact the course/event provider.

Cancellations are subject to the Term and Conditions of the organisation you have booked with.

U008. How do I view my booking history? (T2)

To view your booking history, log into the relevant Sub Regional CPD site using the login details you setup up when registering for an event for the first time (these are also sent to you by email after registration).

After logging into the site, your booking history will display under the 'My CPD' menu. 

U009. Editing your User Profile

The following short video shows how to edit your User Profile  Play the video and press 'f' on your keyboard to view 'Full Screen'.
 

U010. How do change my password?

To change/update your password, log into the booking site you have an account with and go to 'My CPD' > 'Edit My Profile' 

 

U011. How do I delete my account / profile?

Under GDPR you have the right to be forgotten. If you wish to delete your data from the service, please follow the steps below:
 

1. Log into the booking site you have an account.

2. Go the 'My CPD' menu and select 'Edit My Profile.

3. Click 'Delete Profile' (you can also export your profile to a csv file for download) 
 

Note: Once you delete your profile we will not be able to recover it.

U012. I've lost the programme for an event I'm booked on how do I download it? (T2)

The system sends event attachments by email when you book onto an event. Please contact the event organiser via the 'Contact Provider' menu on the booking site.

U013. I've lost the invoice for an event I'm booked in on, how do I download it? (T2)

The system automatically sends an invoice for the event by email when you register for an event.

Should you need to a download a copy of the invoice (for example the email might have been deleted by mistake) you can download it from your booking history. 

Log into to the site to access your booking history. 

U014. How do I pay for an event I've attended? (T2)

Please forward the email containing the invoice to your Business/ Finance Manager. 

Send payment via our bank account .

BACS Payment Details are included on the invoice automatically sent by the system when a booking is made. 

IMPORTANT

Remember to include the Invoice Number: for example INVOICETSP00012

U015. Can I make an online payment for an event I have attended? (T2)

The Portal does not currently accept online payments.

Please pay the provider of the event by BACS, details are included on the invoice the systems sends.

U016. I have a coupon how do I use it? (T2)

To use a discount coupon, enter the coupon code in the payment section when registering for an event (IMPORTANT: ensure the correct Coupon code is entered - otherwise the system will return an error). The system will automatically apply the coupon discount to the event. 

Note: All coupons have expiry dates associated with them, once the expiry date has been reached, the coupon can no longer be used. Some coupons can only be used a set number of times, or by identified registered users. 

U017. How do I contact an event provider?

If you have a question regarding a booking, please contact the event provider via the 'Contact Provider' menu on the Portal booking site you have booked an event.

Note: Your agreement lies with the event provider and not CPD Portal-SW.  An event booking may be processed via a third party website. 

U018. How do I sign my organisation up to promote it's CPD? (T1/T2)

The Portal brings together everything you need to create and deliver CPD programmes across your Teaching School, Teaching School Alliance, Federation or MAT.  The service provides a range of options for promoting and managing your school's CPD offer.


What you need to do?

Each organisation should nominate a lead 'CPD Manager' who will manage their CPD events on the Portal. The individual will be able to promote/manage events on the relevant Sub Region CPD platfom. 


Step 1

Your Organisation: Please complete the following form:

Step 2 

Portal Support Team:   We will create a 'CPD Provider' account for you.

IMPORTANT: You must ensure the email address you use is an official address associated with your organisation. We will not accept account requests using 'non-school' email addresses. 

 

Step 3

Your Organisation:  You will receive an automatic email from the system informing you your account has been setup along with the address of the CPD Sub Regional site you will be a member of.

A 'Quick Start Guide' will also be sent to you. 

 

Step 4

Your Organisation: Log into the CPD Sub Regional site

Read the 'Quick Start Guide'.

You can now begin promoting your CPD events! 

U019. My email address has changed how do I update it?

Your email is an important part of being able to receive booking confirmations and password/username reset links sent from the Portal. 

We also use your email address as a means of verifying your identity regarding access issues to the system. 

You can update your email address by logging into the booking site you have an account with. Go to 'My CPD' > 'Edit My Profile' 


What happen's if I can't log in and I no longer have access to the email I first registered with the system in order to recover my account details?


Your email address may change for a number of reasons: 
 

1. I've changed schools and no longer have access to my email address registered with the Portal

You may wish to register a new account on the Portal using your new school email address (you can do this when booking onto an event). We can then assist you in linking your previous account's CPD history with your new account, or we can update your contact details for you (Note: we will ask you a series of security questions before actioning this).
 

2. My school has changed its email domain address and I no longer have access the email address I registered with the Portal

You may wish to register a new account on the Portal using your new school email address (you can do this when booking onto an event). We can then assist you in linking your previous account's CPD history with your new account, or we can update your contact details for you (Note: we will ask you a series of security questions before actioning this).
